The concept of the movie was simple, Morgan Spurlock set out to show the unhealthy aspects of fast food.  He would eat McDonald’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 30 days.  He would be monitored by medical professionals during the entire process to monitor what it did to his body.

The stunning number for me was his weight gain.  24.5 lbs!  The stats after the movie were just as troubling.  After the 30 days his girlfriend put him on a 100% vegan diet.  Took him 5 months to lose the weight!  Just amazing that it took him that long, with the understanding that he walks about 5 miles a day in New York City.

There are a few sexual references in the movie that didn’t really need to be in there, but even with that I’d think this would be a great movie to show to high school students in health class.

I know it has made me want to eat out MUCH less.  I need to lose weight and my work lunches certainly aren’t helping.

Below you can see the fun little graph about the his monthly progress.
